Sliabh Liag gets a makeover! Monday, May 20, 2019 at 10:06 am +0100 One of our favourite Make Life Richer Map areas and activities, Southwest Donegal’s Sliabh Liag cliffs just got a massive €5M upgrade and the improvements are now officially open to the public! Sliabh Liag are the tallest accessible cliffs in Ireland and the 5th tallest in all of Europe. These giants of the North have generally come in as sidekick to the more well-known Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare but that’s set to change with this awesome capital funding injection. The new works include a transportation hub, visitor’s centre, improvements to access roading, ranger’s centre, additional car parking and last but CERTAINLY not least: an upgrade to the mountain path network frequented by more than 160,000 visitors every year! There’s no excuse now - get outside, get up north, and get to hiking! Share on Facebook translation missing: en.accessibility.link_messages.new_tab Tweet on Twitter Opens in a new window.
