Lobbying governments to recognise the importance of fitness for long term health with Darina Dunne
Darina is a cornerstone in the Irish fitness community and has probably done more for the industry than any of us will ever know.
Darina and her husband Jamie are responsible for the filthy 150. This is Ireland's largest crossfit competition and at one stage was one of the biggest sanctioned Crossfit events in Europe.
They run multiple gyms around the country and now Darina is lobbying the Irish Government through the Irish Physical Activity Alliance. Their goal is to make gym memberships tax refundable as part of the Med1 health expense form. Darina is doing all of this while having a full time job in the pharmaceutical industry, she has unbelievable drive and is the perfect person to make this happen.

Niall Breslin, also known as Bressie, is a bestselling author, musician, and podcaster. He is the Founder and Creative Director of A Lust For Life, a charity focused on mental health and wellbeing in schools across Ireland.
In this episode, Bressie discusses his work with A Lust For Life, which has reached over 92,000 children through its mental health programs. He also shares details about The Rising, an intense physical and mental challenge to raise awareness and funds for the charity. JUNE CURTIN SNAMHAÍ SASTA FOUNDER AND MLR AWARDS MVP
For those that don’t know, June Curtin is an amazing human being. She has overcome such adversity in her life and has found her new calling in the sea. Her story has inspired and helped countless numbers of people, who may be going through difficult situations of their own.
As if that wasn't enough, June has raised much needed funds for the charity. In Fact she has raised over €200,000 for the simon community over the last couple of years. She does this by completing multiple sea swims every day in the month of December.
The sea is helping to heal June and she is helping to heal others too. She has built up an incredible community of sea swimmers in Spanish Point Co. Clare which I have had the pleasure of meeting. If you’re ever down in Spanish point they meet at 9:15 every morning and everyone is welcome!

Emma McQuaid has qualified for the CrossFit Games six times in the last decade, recently securing her spot for 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas. Starting CrossFit 10 years ago, she qualified for her first Games after just two years of training.

His passion is to help people create healthier and happier lives filled with movement and energy – with a little bit of Wildness sprinkled into the mix!

Kyla is a stand up comedian from Cork who is currently living in Barcelona and specialises in observational comedy.
She started comedy during lockdown doing skits on social media and eventually branched into stand up comedy. A lot of Kyla’s sketches focus on what it’s like dating in a foreign country, particularly while sober and the weird and whacky people she meets along the way.
