Introducing the Gym+Coffee Women in Sport Scholarship

Supporting women in sport has always been of utmost importance to Gym+Coffee. From day one, we’ve been committed to championing female athletes and advocating for equality across all sports.

For this reason, we are so proud to announce the Gym+Coffee Women in Sport Scholarship. We have pledged two University College Cork scholarships per year for the next three years.

We are delighted to be able to assist talented athletes to be able to continue to train and master their sport while completing their studies.

The selected students will receive

  • €2000 financial assistance
  • €500 in training apparel

This scholarship programme has a special place in our hearts, with our co-founders Niall Horgan and Diarmuid McSweeney being proud UCC alumni.

Niall says “We are hugely proud to launch this scholarship with UCC and help support a future generation of female athletes. I was hugely fortunate to be a recipient of a sports scholarship during my time at UCC and know how impactful a scholarship can be.

He continues “Sport at UCC plays such an important part in the lives of so many students so it’s a privilege to be able to support them in this.”

For information on how to apply, head here. Closing date is 4:30pm on 1st September 2022.

Gym+Coffee is dedicated to supporting female athletes and championing representation and equality in sport.
