Announcing our Collaborations page.

October 03, 2017 1 Comment

Since day one, we launched Gym+Coffee with a burning ambition, to build a community driven brand around a common passion to ‘Make Life Richer’. We decided we want to create everything collaboratively with our community, from the products we launch to the events we host, to initiatives we partner on and across all of our collaborations.

Over the last 8 months, we have been lucky enough to meet and collaborate with so many amazing people including coffee roasters and even freestyle soccer champions. We have collaborated with such a diverse collective of people who each share a common passion to Make Life Richer.

Collaboration is at the heart of Gym+Coffee. We have learned so much from those people. Not only have they given their time when working on an event with us, they have also willingly shared any tips and wisdom to help on our journey. For that, we are truly grateful.

What we have learned in the process is that it does not matter what your job is or where your passions lie. As long as you keep moving forward, to create that richer life we all strive for, you will have a lot more in common with others than you think.

We are having so much fun with every one of our collaborations and we are excited about the future ones to come. Please comment below or get in touch if you are interested in collaborating with us!

Seamus Hennessy

January 17, 2018

Hi there,

As the box for my name says, my name is Seamus Hennessy, a 28 year old guy who grew up in Tipperary but makes ends meet in Dublin these days. First, I’d like to congratulate you guys on the success of Gym+Coffee so far, I really enjoy the approach you have taken to engaging and building a community who share similar values to you across fitness, health and everyday living. The term ‘athleisure’ I commend you on as I think it’s a great term and very apt these days.

I am writing to you to see if you may be interesting in collaborating with me as I am the founder of RunningforJosie, which involves me running the 2018 Antarctic Ice Marathon where I hope to raise €200,000 for two suicide awareness charities: Pieta House and Living Links Tipperary. When I was 11 years old, I lost my mother Josie to suicide hence the connection and cause I am running for.

Gym+Coffee speaks passionately that we should ‘Make Life Richer’ and clearly in order to do this, one indeeds need to be alive. Unlike other illnesses and diseases, both of the physical and mental kind, nobody can return from suicide and it leaves in its wake every time a devastated group of family and friends. RunnningforJosie is my attempt to simply help reduce both the number of suicides and that level of devestation left behind for Irish families.

This is my attempt at stretching myself and testing my abilities in a physical, mental and fundraising capacity as up to now I have never ran a single charity event on my own and as such am flying by the seat of my pants in attempting this challenge.

If you do indeed decide to write back to me, I would ask that you first check out my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages (there are only a small number of posts so far so it won’t take long) and see whether the posts give you a feel for who I am and whether I am guy you would like to meet for a coffee (of course!) and see whether we could progress things.

As I said at the outset, congratulations on a job well done up to now and all the very best into the future!
